Now it's time to start this month's Party!!

Here are my favorite photos....

As you all have probably noticed, I have been swamped with photo sessions lately! Not that I'm complaining! I seriously L-O-V-E it!! But of course that also means my dear sweet blog gets put on the back burner for a little while. I'm sure you all can probably relate. Life just sometimes doesn't make enough room for all the things we love to do. But thankfully today I have found time to devote a little attention to my {as of late} neglected mommy blog.
My favorite photos for the month actually come from a few of my photos sessions.... well, kind of ;) You'll soon see what I mean.

Just after I set up my backgrounds, soft boxes, reflectors, and props for an in-studio portrait session, generally my favorite little models want to jump in front of the lens for a little glamour time. Of course I don't refuse them the attention! I, in fact, am more than happy to snap a few shots. Like I've said on many occasions, you can never ever have enough photos of your own precious munchkins.

My older daughter, Ava, not only loves to jump on set, but she adores playing the full part... props included. I'm sure you remember reading in one of my past posts, we girls love to play dress-up. Isn't that what a photo shoot basically is sometimes (at least in the eyes of a two and a half year old)?!! ;)

Audrey also enjoys a little action herself in front of the camera on occasion. Just before this shot she climbed in position, blankie in hand. I just couldn't let this moment be lost forever!

I have so much fun during my portrait sessions, particularly my children and baby sittings, but I also truly have a fun-filled time during the before and after, when my own loves get in on the fun! I wouldn't be a loving and appreciative mommy if I didn't! ;)

Now it's your turn to share your favorite photo(s)!
And THANK YOU in advance for participating :)

Be sure to "like" at least one other photo besides your own!
YOU just may very well be next month's featured photo!!!

Life as this Mommy knows It

Now it's time to start this month's hop!

For me: Life is About... making BIG girl choices

After Ava's surgery and recovery, we knew it was time for her bed to be converted into a big girl bed, giving her a little more freedom and independence. We of course ask her first because sometimes it's good to give your children choices about certain decisions. She was all for it!
She really is a very sweet little (I mean, big) girl! She {generally} makes an effort to be obedient, which is another reason we knew this decision was a great idea. And we were right. She absolutely loves it! And what we love is that she stays in her bed {almost} entirely during nap-time and nighttime. She usually waits for us to come get her in the mornings, but there are a few times when she tip toes over to our room to let us know she's awake, which is perfectly fine and quite adorable. Wouldn't you agree that she is just precious in the image below?!!  And just so you know, we're working on other big girl changes too (like potty training, which is definitely challenging but also rewarding... it won't be long 'til she's successfully finished!). It's just hard to believe my sweet angel is growing up so fast!

What is life about for you?!! Please link up and share below. We'd love to hear about what's important in your life!

Photo Session: Miss Delaney {SIX Months}

This is the second time I've had the privilege of photographing precious Miss Delaney (click here to see her five week old portraits). She is just a little doll. I love her darling little attitude and how sweet she is. I really enjoyed girly-ing her up for this session with loads of pink, a few tutus, and more! You'll see what I mean when you view the images below. I am really looking forward to a repeat session in a few months!!

Photo Session: Quentin is 7 days new!

This little fellow was such a joy to photograph during his one week old birthday! I really wanted to put him in my pocket and keep him forever! Below are a few of my favorites from his session, and I just can't wait to photograph him again in a few short months!

Photo Session: A + S = LOVE {Part 2}

In addition to their indoor session (click here), Sam and Amber really wanted to have an engagement session shoot outside. Despite the near freezing temperatures, we were able to capture some very lovely shots! The location for this shoot was at the beautiful Friary in Morgantown, WV. Take a look {once more} at how precious these two are together... and you'll notice little Bella made her way into a few shots as well. Isn't she adorable?!
